VISITORS TO THE CHURCH

We always welcome visitors to the church, either for services or just to look around, but especially to the Sunday morning service when you can stay after the service for a chat, a cup of tea or coffee and some cake or biscuits.

The church is located in Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3UW, about a half-mile south of Tower Bridge and the same distance from London Bridge Station.  Find us on www.multimap.com - the church is just below the circle for SE1 3UW.  Note that the church is just in the congestion charge area (Mon-Fri, 0700-1800).  Car parking is limited in Bermondsey St, although the parking restrictions do not apply on Sundays.  There is usually somewhere to park on the east of Tower Bridge Road (outside the congestion charge area), which then allows a pleasant 200 yard walk through the churchyard.

The nearest Underground station is London Bridge.  Buses travel nearby along Tooley Street (381 East & 47), Crucifix Lane (381 West), Tower Bridge Road (1, 42, 78 & 188) and Long Lane/Abbey Street (C10).

Outside of service times (see the services page), the church is usually open on Monday and Friday mornings, from 9.30 to 12.00 (times approximate), but please check first (see Contacts page) if your visit is time-critical.  At other times it has to be kept locked, regrettably, and so prior notice is required if you wish to look inside.  Please be flexible in the times that you have available as the Rector is the only full-time member of staff and he is kept very busy with more spiritual and personal matters.  A verger may be available to show you around, with sufficient notice.

The Rector's day of rest is Friday (in school holidays) or Saturday (in term-time), so please try not to call him then except in the case of a real emergency.
