ABOUT US

The parish church of St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey is a friendly, welcoming Anglican church with a multi-racial congregation comprised of representatives from many countries and with lots of children. We normally have a Holy Communion service on Sundays starting at 10.30, and there is a full range of Sunday School classes for the children as well as a crèche.

The worship is essentially evangelical but draws on all aspects of Anglican tradition. It is probably considered informal and relaxed compared to other Anglican churches, with a warmth of welcome and a sense of family. Come and sample it for yourself, and do allow time to stay for tea, coffee and cake afterwards.

We also run a number of groups that meet regularly for fellowship, Bible study and prayer, as well as occasional courses such as Alpha or START courses for new Christians. These are also listed in Services and Events this month.
