The stained glass in the east window was installed in the beautification of the church in 1883, when the chancel was lengthened.  It is believed that the window, having been dismantled in WWII for safe-keeping, was re-assembled incorrectly in 1950: the grey section with the central pillar should be below the characters, not above.
