This plaque is on the south wall of the chancel, and is curved, having once been
fitted to one of the main pillars in the nave. A full translation would be
welcome; he was a soldier ("Militis") and was 54 (Aetat. suae = his years) when
he died on 5th March 1712. This memorial was placed by Thomas Steavens his
son(?).
