The Parish Church of
Welcome to the homepage of the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, London. Our main weekly service is Holy Communion, held at 1030 - 1200 on Sunday mornings. See Services and Events this month
for full details of all services. Also, we occasionally run Alpha and
START courses for those interested in becoming a Christian and/or learning more
about their faith - call the Rector on 020 7357 0984 for more details. The parish extends north to the River Thames
and includes the south tower of Tower Bridge, as well as the London Authority
building and part of London Bridge Station. It includes the former parishes of
St Olave Tooley Street, St Luke Grange Road and St John Horsleydown. Please use the links at the bottom to find what you want. Apologies
that this site was designed for frames - please use your back button to get back
to this page and thence to other pages. This website was launched in October 2004, and is still being developed as
time permits, so please return and find out more about the church, its
architecture and its history. Better still, come and visit us on
a Sunday morning - and be ready to stay for a coffee and a chat afterwards.
Note that the church is not "St
Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey" - it appears Magdalene has always been
spelt as Magdalen without the more usual(?) final "e".
Unfortunately, given the workings of the internet search engines, many people
would miss us unless this paragraph is included!
